The Scout Troup meets on Mondays at 7:45pm.
You can join Scouts when you are 10 and a half. Scouts are split into groups called patrols.
The scout troop have
a very active programme. Troop nights are spent doing activities such as sailing, rock climbing, archery, rifle shooting,
map and compass skills, cooking, challenges, badge work and orienteering.
Each year we spend a weekend at Wrekin campsite
doing backwoods cooking, abseiling and pioneering and one or two weekends at Kibblestone international campsite doing a wide range
of activities including those listed above.
We also spend a weekend sailing and canoeing on Bala lake, North Wales. In the summer
holidays we join up with other scouts in the district and do a big joint camp. Every other year, we have a weekend away with the beavers,
cubs, explorers and their families.
