The Group started in 1979 with 2 scout leaders, 10 Scouts and 20 cub scouts. Meetings were held at St. Peter’s Church, St. Georges.

The Group set up a fund raising committee to begin to raise money to build their own headquarters. The land was given by Telford Development Corporation. After many years of fundraising we applied for and received two lottery grants and the building was opened in 2002. We have a large sports hall, committee room, kitchen, and storage facilities upstairs. The building is used by the local community.
The group has grown from strength to strength. We run Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer
Scouts and have a membership of 94 at present.
